Cat Frampton is a Dartmoor beef and sheep farmer and artist. She can, at times, be slightly too enthusiastic about dung beetles and grassland fungi, and you really don’t want to get her talking about birds or you’ll be there for days.
During her long, undistinguished and varied career, she has spoken about dead trees at the Oxford Real Farming Conference, been artist-in-residence at Groundswell and once told Jules Hudson, during a radio interview, that she would shoot a cow if it were too badly injured to wait for the vet.
She loves a well-made map and asks too many questions.
