Amy Green

Host & Producer

Amy Green is a North Wales-based countryside professional, practical conservationist, and podcast host. Her career across the countryside sector has been varied, with roles as a ranger, biodiversity officer, and conservation advisor assisting land managers with habitat creation and ecological restoration alongside overseas travel to volunteer on species conservation projects in Australia and Sumatra.

Drawing from her practical nature and love of hands-on effective action; Amy balances modern conservation survey and strategy with traditional land skills, including hedgelaying, scything, coppicing, dry stone walling, and green woodworking. Alongside practical woodland and habitat management, she leads foraging walks and works in audio production on several of the SideCountry Network podcast titles.

As the creator and host of the LandGirls podcast, Amy spotlights women working directly on and with the land – including farmers, foresters, rangers, and ghillies – exploring the practical realities, heritage, and future of working British landscapes.
